Roman Lappat

Roman is the founder of a blog called Massive Voodoo and a pioneer in miniature art and modeling. Born and raised in Augsburg, Germany, Roman has made miniature art and been a full-time teacher of the field since 2009.

Massive Voodoo blog spreads the joy and beauty of miniature art globally. With the help of the blog Roman and his friends share their thoughts, ideas and projects for everyone to enjoy.

Roman studied to become a school teacher, but left this career path behind him in order to teach what he loves. He runs miniature painting courses all around Europe, offers private lessons in his hometown and helps miniature painters online. 

Massive Voodoo blog has a tutorial section including over 300 free articles for everyone’s enjoyment and guidance. Roman himself paints around 6 hours per day and among other things is known for the Happy Painting principle, of which he will tell more about at Ropecon. 

Shut Up & Sit Down is, according to their own words, ’’the world’s best and biggest board game review show’’. They have offered – often simultaneously – both the most intelligent and crazy funny criticism in the field of board games for over 10 years. And because board games are going strong and their design is evolving and becoming better than ever, they have no intention of quitting.
